Day 641 Monday 08 June 2015 Happy Queen’s Birthday. I still find it very odd that different states in Australia celebrate the Queen’s Birthday on different days – and it never correlates with her actual birthday…very odd. Anyways, apparently it’s an excuse for a public holiday – which I am thrilled about because that means Tim and I have the day and night off together! So, we packed al little bag and headed on a day trip to the Mornington Peninsula. I had been down to the springs down there with Emily, but hasn’t really explored the area much or done any wineries or anything. So that’s just what we did. Beautiful, beautiful spot. Here’s the view from the deck of our long winery lunch at Polperro. The wagyu sirloin for two was out of this world – as was the wine!
