A few days ago, I was walking back to my place from my local coffee shop and a man approached me and said walk a different way, there’s a swooping magpie on the attach up the block.

A WHAT?!

He said a swooping magpie. A bird protecting it’s eggs.

Oh. We don’t really have this in the states – that I’m aware of at least!

Then today, Jeremy was riding into work on his bike and was attacked not once, not twice, but three times by a swooping magpie! Pecked at his bike helmet. He of course was screaming.

So, this is apparently an epidemic here in Brisbane. Every time I hear a bird make a noise I freak out a bit!

It’s an epidemic.

This sign is now upfront on the block in front of my building where I was told to avoid.
