The marketing team at the Lion King has employed a local Brisbane artist to commission three modern pieces for our lobby here in the theatre. Matt Stewart is his name and he does some great locally inspired modern stuff.

Anyways, we have commissioned three pieces inspired by three of our characters – Rafiki, Simba and Nala. He’s just started the pieces and our three actors had a meet and greet with him in the Queen Street Mall where he’s painting them.
