Thanks to the great people at QPAC, I was able to attend the opening night of The Perfect American – the new Philip Glass opera. That basically rips Walt Disney’s dead body to shreds. I’m not sure I understand all of what they were trying to say – but I appreciated it. Incredible projections. Great singers. Lush (although Philip Glass…) orchestra. So many strings!
And Abraham Lincoln from the Hall of Presidents come to life – with wires coming out of his back. Who could ask for more?!
And, I must add, had a great reunion night with the lovely Joanne Manning.
Good night out!
