This is the Metro Theatre in Kings Cross. Love this old, art deco building. Can only imagine it in its heyday!

TimeOut Sydney writes this about the old building:

“Kings Cross was once crammed with theatres and cinemas. A picturesque relic of those days is old art deco Metro Theatre in Orwell Street, where counterculture musical Hair, with its groundbreaking on-stage nudity, opened in 1970. The building is now headquarters to filmmaker George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet). It doesn’t stage shows of course, but it’s worth a look.”

Worth a look indeed.
