The Great Barrier Reef. One of the seven natural wonders of the world. This is my third on the list of seven – the other two being the Grand Canyon and Aurora Borealis. And boy does it live up to it.

At 9am, we headed out on a two hour boat ride from Hamilton Island off to Reef World – a snorkeling/diving/viewing spot set up for visitors to enjoy the reef.

I am not scuba certified. I have never taken a class. Nor have I ever even snorkeled!

But, the folks at reef world have a ver simple introductory course and within twenty minutes of training…you can be diving at the reef with an instructor in tow.

The fish. The coral. The sand shark! The crazy colorful clams. All of the under water life.

Just stunning.
